Flip Clock: Weather & Calendar (also known as "Shy Flip Clock", the "App") is published by withshy. Effective date: October 18, 2026.
The App does not collect or store personal information on any server of ours. It has no ads, no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. The only time the App uses the internet is the optional weather feature of the Flip-Dashboard clock style, described below. If you never choose that style, or never allow location access, the App sends nothing anywhere.
We do not collect personal data, device identifiers, contacts, photos, or usage analytics. The one exception is the optional weather feature: if you select the Flip-Dashboard clock style and allow location access, the App sends your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) to OpenWeather (openweathermap.org) over an encrypted HTTPS connection to get the current weather. We receive none of this information, we do not store your location, and the App keeps only the latest weather result on your device so it can show it quickly. OpenWeather processes the request under its own privacy policy.
To remember your choices, the App stores your preferences (such as clock style, display options, brightness level, Pomodoro duration, and the D-Day date you choose in Flip-Dashboard) locally on your device using Android's standard app storage. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else by the App. If you have turned on Android's device backup, Android may include these settings in your own backup under your Google account, which is governed by Google's privacy policy.
The App asks for approximate location permission only when you use the Flip-Dashboard clock style, and only to show the weather where you are. You can decline or revoke it at any time in Android settings; the rest of the App works the same without it. The App also uses the internet permission solely to request that weather data. It adjusts the brightness of its own window only while it is open and keeps the screen on while the clock is displayed.
The App contains no advertising, analytics, or other third-party service SDKs. Weather data in Flip-Dashboard is provided by OpenWeather (a service of OpenWeather Ltd.); the App connects to it directly, without any SDK. It includes open source libraries and fonts that run entirely on your device; their licenses are listed in the App under Settings > About > Open source licenses.
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
